Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Paws Up (on object) Comment: For session one with Stella we practiced the skill “Paws up”. The trainer spent the session using different pods and stepping stools. Stella did very well having great engagement throughout the session. This skill is great for building confidence and focus. Stella had a little trouble to begin high on the higher stools although after some encouragement did very well. The next step for this skill would be using the wobble board. To practice at home you can use any stool or step and lure her on using treats, have fun using different items! Focus: Confidence B+
Skill learnt: Place Training Comment: For session two with Stella we practiced the skill “place” the trainer used high distractions to test her skill including: ball/toy, food and distance: Stella did amazing! Although she did struggle with distance. For the remainder of the session the trainer focused on distance by rewarding Stella as the trainer got further and she stayed on place. At home you could work on this skill by putting a raised bed nexto you while watching tv, and rewarding her for remaining on place, By doing this it would build her skill majorly. Focus: Distraction A
Skill learnt: Drop/ Down Comment: For session three we worked on the skill “drop” the trainer tested this skill by asking for a drop while doing different things including: running, standing, dancing, jumping and in different distraction areas. Stella did very well although her duration wasn’t so good. To help this the trainer increased the rewards and by doing this Stella remained in a drop until released. Focus: Distraction B+

We recommend your next step should be…
