Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!

Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Drop/ Down Comment: In her first session, Stella focused on further developing her skill drop with duration and building her impulse control. Stella responds well to the verbal cue drop with a hand signal. While in drop she can break easily, for small distractions. The trainer started building her duration and slowly increasing her distance. Stella performed well, she initially broke once but maintained it well as the session progressed. Focus: Distraction B+
Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull) Comment: In her second session, Stella focused on further developing her skill loose lead within the classroom while another dog was barking at times. Stella showed good engagement throughout this session, despite the added distractions. The trainer was very impressed with her engagement and walking throughout this session. Focus: Distraction B+
Skill learnt: Paws Up (on object) Comment: In her final session, Stella focused on further developing her skill paws up within the classroom. Stella performed well, she quickly followed a lure onto the step but struggles to hold duration. As the session progressed she slowly increased her duration and began to hold the skill well. As she was performing so well, the trainer began to challenge her further by adding rear end awareness. This is where her front two paws remain on the step while her back paws move around the step. Stella responded well to the spatial pressure and moved around the step. Focus: Duration B+
