|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Place Training||Comment: Place was first up for Sophia. She did struggle to remember what she had to do. So the trainer took it back a couple of steps again and before long she worked out that she needed to be in place when lead on. The trainer then started to increase the distance between Sophia on the place bed and the trainer. Again Sophia did struggle with this and the trainer needed a lot of treats to help Sophia learn what was required. Next time the trainer would like to increase the duration that Sophia stays on the place bed.||Focus: Distraction||C+|
|Skill learnt: Drop/ Down||Comment: Next up for Sophia was drop and sit. Sophia is still struggling with drop however the trainer did get Sophia being lured under the trainers leg. She did this three or four times which was fantastic. The trainer also worked on sit in this session and Sophia did progress on from last week, which was awesome to see. She was holding her sits for longer this week. Well done Sophia.||Focus: Repetition||C|
|Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull)||Comment: Loose lead was Sophia’s final session. At first she pulled quite a bit to get to other dogs that were training nearby. However, the trainer worked in a small area and kept changing directions. This did help get Sophia’s focus back. One of the other dogs left the classroom so this also helped Sophia walk better without pulling. The trainer will keep working on this with Sophia. Slowly adding in more distractions.||Focus: Distraction||C+|
