Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Drop/ Down Comment: For our first session we started with drops in the classroom. Although Sonny was excited to be going into the classroom and training, he listened very well to his trainer. His drops are improving, becoming quicker and more consistent. Although at times his environment can be a bit too distracting, he still tries his hardest to listen. Focus: Repetition B+
Skill learnt: Desensitisation Comment: Sonny did very well in the cattery today, completely ignoring most of the cats after noticing they were there. We tested Sonny further again with the bunnies. He is very interested in them and tries his hardest to resist the urge to chase them. We were again rewarding any attention that wasn’t towards the bunnies. Focus: Desensitisation B+
Skill learnt: Spin Comment: For our final session we continued to work on spins and twirls! He was very excited again to work on his Spins! He began by trying to spin in the air because he was so full of energy and excitement but he quickly began spinning well with all 4 paws on the ground. We also added in his twirl today (spinning the other way) and he picked this up very quickly! We can continue this skill by slowly phasing out his lure. Focus: Repetition B+
