Sonny was amazing on his first day with us! While a little energetic and unruly during his first session he had a great recovery today and was able to focus on the trainer really well and make some good progress with his skills!
It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.
Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!

|We focused on
|Skill learnt: Place Training
|Comment: For his second session today the trainer really wanted to focus on getting his engagement and working on a skill that can help him settle some of his energy. The trainer took Sonny through the place skill this is also know as “bed”. The objective of this skill is to have Sonny have all 4 paws on a certain object (in this case a place bed) and stay there until released. Today the trainer just worked on the basics which involves luring Sonny onto the place bed with a treat and rewarding when all 4 are on. This was repeated a lot during this session and as Sonny realised where the reward was coming from and why he started really leaping onto the place bed with great speed! He became a lot more focused on the trainer and was taking both kibble treats and our fritz rewards! This was a much better second session with better focus and great training drive.
|Skill learnt: Drop/ Down
|Comment: For his last session today the trainer worked on his drop skill a little more. During his first session today the trainer noticed he needed a bit of work on his drop skill. So they utilised the under the keg method, this is where we lure Sonny under the leg using a nice tasty bit of fritz! The second he drops his bum on the floor her was rewarded and the skills started again! You can see this on his social video today! He did really well even redirecting back on to the trainer once getting distracted by a dog coming into the classroom! This tells us he has a big interest in training and we can’t wait to have Sonny back in again!
We recommend your next step should be…

B: Great Work (80-89%) I mostly understand, Almost neat & complete! Needs practice in some areas. Mild distractions
C: Well Done (70-79%) Some good progress. Needs work, but on my way. Still learning. Low distractions.
D: Beginning (60-69%) My journey is just beginning, I don’t understand just yet. Introduction phase. No distraction.
E: Unable to Progress. Needs major focus, seek further options to assist.
X: Not gradable, the focus was on Enrichment, Socialisation & Engagement.
