Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Trick Training Comment: In his first session, Sonny focused on learning the new skill paws up. We focused on this skill as an aspect of his Tick Title. Sonny performed well, he followed a lure onto the step quickly, holding good duration. When the trainer reduced the size of the object, he can struggle to place both paws on the object. With sine guidance, he quickly began to place both paws on either object. Focus: Foundation B
Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull) Comment: In his second session, Sonny focused on further developing his skill loose lead and drop while conditioning to cats (training in the cattery). Sonny performed well, he showed good engagement and knowledge of the drop cue while in the cattery. Once Sonny saw a cat he lost all engagement with his trainer, he showed no signs of reactivity but was very interested. Utilizing know skills such as drop and spin he began to redirect his focus. Focus: Obedience C+
Skill learnt: Trick Training Comment: In his final session, Sonny focused on learning the new skill around or barrel racing. We focused on this skill to continuing working towards his trick title. Sonny performed very well, he followed a lure off the bed and around the cone (one meter say form bed). After several repetitions the trainer was slowly able to reduce the lure as he was progressing so well. Focus: Foundation B
