|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Sit||Comment: Sofia’s first session was sit. With duration and repetition. She is doing very well with her sit command and it is doing a great job in stopping her jumping. Her duration is also improving but today she got distracted a couple of times by another dog. By the end of the session the trainer was nearly able to walk right around Sofia without her breaking that sit.||Focus: Duration||B|
|Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull)||Comment: Second session for Sofia was loose lead walking. At first Sofia just takes off and pulls quite hard in the lead. The trainer focused on walking in a small area in the classroom and kept changing directions. Soon Sofia was walking better and showing much better engagement with the trainer. It was awesome progression especially as there was another dog in the classroom.||Focus: Repetition||C+|
|Skill learnt: Place Training||Comment: Final session was place. The trainer did this outside and while Sofia could hold place reasonably well she struggled to leave the smells on the grass to go to place. It wasn’t until near the end of the session that Sofia started to go to place quicker. Practice this at home in the backyard to give Sofia practice with different distractions.||Focus: Distraction||C+|
We recommend your next step should be…
A: Outstanding (90 – 100%) I understand my training, Neat & Complete! Ready to move on to higher difficulty & distraction
B: Great Work (80-89%) I mostly understand, Almost neat & complete! Needs practice in some areas. Mild distractions
C: Well Done (70-79%) Some good progress. Needs work, but on my way. Still learning. Low distractions.
D: Beginning (60-69%) My journey is just beginning, I don’t understand just yet. Introduction phase. No distraction.
E: Unable to Progress. Needs major focus, seek further options to assist.
X: Not gradable, the focus was on Enrichment, Socialisation & Engagement.
