It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.

Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!

"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."

Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Conditioning Comment: For the first session today we worked on Silas’ marker. We do this to form a way of communication. The marker we use is “yes,” when the dog hears this word they know they have done something right and a reward is coming. By the end of this session of repeatedly saying yes and rewarding, Silas was reacting perfectly and knew that she was doing the right thing. This can be used for all forms of training , for example; if the dog sits, you can say “yes” and then supply the reward. Focus: Conditioning B
Skill learnt: Place Training Comment: Place training is a vital part of training, this teaches the dog to stay in one place when told “place.” Silas was lured onto the raised bed and rewarded for staying on there. We could then use the release word “break” for Silas to come off of the bed. She did very well with this and only broke position a couple time. This is a useful skill because you can increase the duration that the dog is on place for. Focus: Foundation C+
Skill learnt: Drop/ Down Comment: For Silas’ last session today we worked on drops and play. We had to lure Silas under the trainers leg to get her into position. She did very well with this and appeared to have fun crawling around. We ended the session with some play because Silas was very tired and struggling to focus. She did very well for all her sessions. Focus: Foundation C+
