Silas's Doggy Dayschool Report

It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.

Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!

"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."

Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Exposure Comment: First session for Silas was a bit of explore around the property. The trainer took her to the dam and Silas was very interested in the ducks. While Silas was distracted the trainer called her and worked on getting her attention. This is to help Silas learn that regardless of the distractions she needs to have her listening ears on. Silas did an awesome job at this. Focus: Repetition B+
Skill learnt: Place Training Comment: Place was next up for Silas and at first she really struggled and was jumping off as soon as the trainer took a step away. As the session progressed The trainer could see Silas thinking about what she needed to do. By the end of the session Silas was staying on place with the trainer able to take a couple of steps away and squatting. Keep practicing at home with distractions like jumping at squatting. Focus: Repetition C+
Skill learnt: Drop/ Down Comment: Final session was drops and a bit of play for Silas. She does get quite excited for the food when being lured down so the trainer worked on trying to fade the lure out. Silas is holding her drops well and the trainer was able to stand upright at times rather than staying low to keep dispensing the treats. Play for Silas was an engagement game, to again help Silas learn to look to her handler and keep her focus there. Focus: Repetition C+
