|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Exposure||Comment: In her first session, Shelby focused on further conditioning to sounds. The trainers have noticed she can be nervous around a trumpet. To help build her confidence the trainer placed the trumpet on the floor with treats around it. Shelby was initially hesitant to approach, however with some encouragement she began to eat the treats. When comfortable the trainer began to play trumpet sounds on their phone while the trumpet is still on the ground. This is a great way be to begin conditioning sounds without going over her threshold where she is scared. Shelby performed well, she continued to take treats and remained in her drop. We would recommend continuing to do sound exploration at home to further condition her to different sounds. An important aspect to remember is to Strat with the sound on low away from her, then slowly increase the intensity.||Focus: Conditioning||X|
|Skill learnt: Drop/ Down||Comment: In her second session, Shelby focused on further developing her impulse control surrounding her drop. We focused on this skill as Shelby can struggle to hold her drop around high distractions. Today the trainer challenged her with remaining in drop with food distractions. Shelby successful remained in drop while the trainer spelt her name in kibble.||Focus: Distraction||B+|
|Skill learnt: Conditioning||Comment: In her final session, Shelby focused on continuing to build her confidence with paws up on a wobble board. Shelby was initially hesitant to touch the wobble board, however with conditioning and treats she began to touch it. As the session progressed she began to follow a lure to place her two front paws onto the wobble board. The trainer was very impressed with her confidence throughout this session.||Focus: Confidence||B+|
