Shadow's Doggy Dayschool Report

2024-01-15

It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.

Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!

"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."

Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull) Comment: This session focused on his loose lead and engagement. He would have moments of distraction but it was easy to bring his focus back to us, whether we directed him into a control position or simply made silly noises to bring his attention back to us. Focus: Distraction B
Skill learnt: Place Training Comment: This session focused on some place training outside. We were able to really up the trainer distractions today, using lots of high energy movements. He did break position a couple times but we simply reset him and tried again. He is doing so well with this, he even held position and focused on his trainer while a couple dogs and staff walked past! Focus: Distraction B
Skill learnt: Drop/ Down Comment: This session focused on his drop, sit and spin! We worked on chaining the skills together, doing quick circuits. We rewarded him after he completed a few skills in a row! This makes him work harder for the reward and helps ween him off of constant rewards - this is called an intermittent schedule of reinforcement. Try this at home, do multiple skills quickly then “yes” and reward. Focus: Repetition B

We recommend your next step should be…
