Scooty Booty's Doggy Dayschool Report

It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.

Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!

"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."

Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Drop/ Down Comment: For his first session we spent a few minutes outside to burn off a little energy then came into the classroom to work on his drops. He was a bit cheeky going into the drops initially - when the hand signal was given he would move into the trainer and rub up against their leg for cuddles. After a few of his "uh uh" signals and some guidance he started going into his drops. Again at the start he was a bit cheeky with duration but after realising he wasn't going to get away with that he held his drops very well! We were able to test him with movement around, stepping over him, riding a scooter past and throwing hula hoops with him hardly ever breaking! He responded well to most of his markers though didn't always come out of drop right away when released so keep conditioning the markers. We did finish the session with some cuddles which he loooooved. Focus: Distraction B
Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull) Comment: For his second session we worked on loose lead outside with a focus on his engagement and not pulling. Scooter was distracted a few times at cats he saw in windows but otherwise did really well on the pavement so we moved onto the lawn area. On the grass he was initially distracted but settled down really nicely into a lovely walk with a check in every now and then. He did get a bit pully when seeing other staff, he was just so keen for cuddles today! Focus: Distraction B
Skill learnt: Middle Position Comment: For his last session we worked on middles as he wasn't interested in watching the trainer point to place. He was quite good at staying focused this session and following the lure in between the trainer's legs and finishing in the sit position. We loved having Scooter in for training, he is doing so well with his skills! Focus: Repetition B
