Scooter's Doggy Dayschool Report

It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.

Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!

"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."

Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Sit Comment: For his first session we worked on conditioning Scooter's thumbs up reward marker and teaching sit with a new hand signal (hand open, palm up, hand moving up) to help differentiate it from the reward marker. Scooter was quite good and went into several sits during the session. We started work on a release marker as well (hand open, palm down, moving to the side) to help with his training. Focus: Repetition B+
Skill learnt: Place Training Comment: For his second session we worked on the foundations of place. Scooter happily followed lures onto the bed but would only sometimes stay on when asked. He was on lead this session and does struggle with lead pressure when he tried to wander off. Continue conditioning him to having a slip lead on as well as luring him onto the bed and rewarding him for remaining on it. Teaching Scooter to settle on the bed will help with his impulse control, his confidence and nap times. He did start dozing off with the trainer near the end of the session so we kept it simple. Focus: Foundation C+
Skill learnt: Targeting (touch) Comment: Scooter was still a bit tired this session and getting a bit full on treats (only took a few over the session) so we did a few repetitions of touch on a wooden spoon and then had him conditioning to different trainers and being settled around dogs in crates. He did really well with this and enjoyed his cuddles and play. Focus: Foundation B
