Sandy has shown good improvement in her skills since we last saw her, well done!
It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.
Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!
"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."
|We focused on
|Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull)
|Comment: For her first session we worked on loose lead outside on the paved area. Sandy settled quickly and walked nicely for most of the session though she wasn't very interested in treats and didn't focus on the trainer much. As she was doing so well we moved to the grass area - the first lap or so she was distracted and sniffing/pulling but again settled quickly and only got distracted when a staff member walked by. Good improvement in her loose lead!
|Skill learnt: Drop/ Down
|Comment: For her second session we worked on drops on the classroom. She wasn't interested in kibble but happily followed fritz as a lure into drop so we started building up her duration. She can be a bit hit or miss with her duration - sometimes she would pop up right away, other times she was able to hold it with the trainer walking all the way around her and doing small dances in front of her. She did seem to pop up quickly more when dropping at the side of the trainer (rather than the front) so just keep working on this skill at home to slowly start adding distractions.
|Skill learnt: Place Training
|Comment: For her last session we worked on place in the classroom. Once on the bed and settled Sandy was so good with this skill! We tested her with trainer movement, hula hoops, a tennis ball, a squeaky toy and food and only the food slightly tempted her. She held her place for all other distractions! Very impressed, well done Sandy!
We recommend your next step should be…
A: Outstanding (90 – 100%) I understand my training, Neat & Complete! Ready to move on to higher difficulty & distraction
B: Great Work (80-89%) I mostly understand, Almost neat & complete! Needs practice in some areas. Mild distractions
C: Well Done (70-79%) Some good progress. Needs work, but on my way. Still learning. Low distractions.
D: Beginning (60-69%) My journey is just beginning, I don’t understand just yet. Introduction phase. No distraction.
E: Unable to Progress. Needs major focus, seek further options to assist.
X: Not gradable, the focus was on Enrichment, Socialisation & Engagement.
