Sampson's Doggy Dayschool Report

It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.

Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!

"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."

Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull) Comment: In his first session, Sampson focused on further developing his loose lead walking in preparation for the wedding. Today we increased Sampson's distractions by introducing two other dogs and a trainer who was acting over-excited. Sampson performed well, he ignored the dogs straight away but was initially distracted by the excited person. However, he quickly redirected his focus and began to perform well. We would recommend continuing to practise this at home especially around excited people to continue preparing him for the wedding. Focus: Obedience B+
Skill learnt: Drop/ Down Comment: In his second session, Sampson focused on building his impulse control around excited people through his skill drop. The trainer used this session to continue to challenge him with excited people (trainers being overexcited and approaching him). Sampson initially broke drop once, but with some guidance, he began to maintain it well. We would recommend continuing to practise this at home to further build his impulse control around a variety of people being silly and overexcited. Focus: Distraction B+
Skill learnt: Muzzle Conditioning Comment: In his final session, Sampson focused on further conditioning to the muzzle. We focused on this skill to build his confidence while wearing the muzzle. As Sampson has been progressing very well with his muzzle the trainers challenged him today with wearing the muzzle. The trainers started small with further conditioning which he performed well with. Once he was comfortable with the muzzle the trainer began to ask for other skills such as drop. Sampson continued to perform the skill despite the muzzle, this is great progress. Focus: Confidence B

We recommend your next step should be…
