Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Trick Training Comment: Session one with Sampson we started with his skill of “Hug” this session the trainer was able to change his verbal cue to “Hug”. The trainer spent the session asking for Sampson to sit behind her and then proceeding to lure him onto the shoulder while asking “Hug”. Sampson did really well!! He has amazing duration holding the skill until released. The next step for this skill is to decrease the lure. Focus: Repetition A+
Skill learnt: Trick Training Comment: Session two with Sampson we practiced his skill of skateboard. Sampson is doing so well at this skill! He still needs a slight lure onto the skateboard but once on he is starting to push himself further. This session Sammy had amazing engagement with the trainer and held great duration throughout this skill. Focus: Repetition B+
Skill learnt: Leave Comment: Session three with Sampson we practiced his skill of leave it. This session the trainer focused on having food/ toys on the ground around him and asking for him to leave it. The trainer then rewarded him after around 5-7 seconds of Sampson leaving the items. This is increasing his implied duration in the skill. Sampson did really well! The trainer could see he was very tempted but never broke the skill which was great. Focus: Distraction A
