|Skill learnt: Place Training||Comment: For session one with sally today we started with the skill “Place”. Sally had lots of enthusiasm and had great engagement with the trainer. Sally did very well being sent to place, for the rest of the session we focused on her duration on place. The trainer did this by increasing the rewards, by doing this Sally remained on place until released.||Focus: Foundation||B+|
|Skill learnt: Drop/ Down||Comment: For session two we focused on the skill drop, we started this skill so we can use it for door manners as well as an obedience skill. Sally did very well, the trainer started by using a lure into a drop, it appeared that Sally knew the foundation of a drop so a lure was no longer needed. The trainer began to work on Sally’s duration in her drops. With frequent rewards Sally was able to remain in a drop until released.||Focus: Duration||B+|
|Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull)||Comment: For session three with Sally we worked on the skill loose lead, we practiced the skill in the classroom but Sally did well at loose outside as. Sally struggled with people and dog distractions outside so the trainer moved back to the classroom for the remainder of the session do get a stronger loose lead skill. This was practiced using treat rewards frequently.||Focus: Distraction||C+|
