|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Drop/ Down||Comment: Sadie had a focus on drops for her first session. The trainer did this in the kitchen where there is a lot of people and noise. Sadie at first didn’t stay in drop at all and would pop straight back up. The trainer increased the frequency of treats and as the session progressed Sadie was holding position better. She broke a couple of times when people walked in, however if the trainer was aware people were going to be coming in the trainer used treats to help keep Sadie’s focus and she didn’t break position those times. Sadie did an awesome job this session.||Focus: Distraction||C+|
|Skill learnt: Place Training||Comment: Second session was place. The trainer took Sadie up by the kennel yards with some quite loud dogs. Sadie was hesitant to get on place but with some food luring Sadie was able to get on and hold position for a little. She broke position a couple of times when she thought the trainer was walking away but before long it was good to see her thinking about what she needed to do and hold place. Great work Sadie. Don’t forget to move place around at home so Sadie is distracted by different things while on place.||Focus: Distraction||B|
|Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull)||Comment: Loose lead walking was Sadie’s last session. The trainer started in the classroom. At first Sadie was a little distracted by another dog in the classroom but the lure of food soon got her attention back. Once she was settled the trainer then took her outside. Sadie did try to pull towards the grassed areas at times but generally she did well. It will be good to keep building this up until Sadie can walk well in the nice smelly grass.||Focus: Distraction||C+|
