Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!

"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."

Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Place Training Comment: First session Ruby worked on her place skill. Ruby shows good understanding of this skill and we were able to work on high energy repetitions of send to place and build up her duration. We were able to have Ruby tethered and move around the classroom to increase the distance between the trainer and her on place. While she can hold her duration well Around low level distractions she can break early for higher distractions. Gradually increase these at home to strengthen the skill further. Focus: Distraction B
Skill learnt: Drop/ Down Comment: Ruby’s second session we worked on her drops. Ruby wasn’t responding to a verbal and hand signal so we used treats to lure her into position, a couple of times which quickly reminded her what we wanted her to do. By the end of the session she was holding her duration well around low level distractions. Keep working on this at home. Focus: Back to Basics B
Skill learnt: Trick Training Comment: For Ruby’s final session we worked on some trick training. This is a great way to build confidence and challenge them to work their brains. Today we worked on teaching Ruby to ring a bell by pushing it with her paw. Any time she interacted with the bell we marked yes and rewarded. She is still in the very early stages of this and with some more practise will be ringing the bell with ease. Focus: Foundation C
