It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.

Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!

Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Drop/ Down Comment: First session Ruby worked on her drop skill. She still at times needs a slight lure to help keep her focused and get into position but during this session we worked on fading out the lure to just a hand signal paired with the verbal cue and began working on her duration. Ruby can hold her duration around low level distractions but does break early around higher energy distractions. Gradually increase distractions at home to build on the skill further. Focus: Duration B
Skill learnt: Paws Up (on object) Comment: Rubys second session we worked on some Paws Up. After some initial hesitation around the pod and some reluctance to follow the lure to put her paws up on it Ruby began putting one paw at a time on the pod which we rewarded. By the end of the session she was confidently putting both paws up on the pod and holding some duration. This skill is great to build confidence and a great for photo ops while out on walks! Focus: Confidence B
Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull) Comment: Final session Ruby worked on her loose lead. We worked outside the class to increase distraction levels. Ruby walked well by the trainers side, occasionally pulling ahead, when she did we stopped and began moving the other way encouraging her to follow. She checks in occasionally but does struggle with her engagement in higher distraction areas so we made sure to rewarded any eye contact from her to strengthen this further. Focus: Distraction B
