Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Conditioning Comment: For her first session Ruby was quite confident coming out of the kennel with a new trainer. She was a bit shy again in the classroom and didn't want to take treats so we spent time conditioning her to the environment and to touch. She enjoyed the pats and even came up to give the trainer a kiss so her confidence is starting to build which is great! Focus: Conditioning X
Skill learnt: Place Training Comment: For her second session we worked a bit on place to help Ruby settle. She still wasn't much interested in treats so we used attention and cuddles as rewards. She did break quite a bit on her own so the focus was on duration and having her stay on until released. She did do better throughout the session though this does need more work. Focus: Duration C
Skill learnt: Paws Up (on object) Comment: For her last session we attempted working on her paws up skill. Ruby almost ate some treats but dropped them back out of her mouth so she may not have been very hungry (she did get fed in the morning in the kennels). She came up for cuddles a lot instead of going onto the balance cushion so just didn't seem very engaged today. Use this skill and other trick skills to build her confidence further. Focus: Foundation X
