Rolo performed very well today, the trainer challenged him with high food distractions which Rolo initially struggled with but overcame quickly. Keep up the great work at home.
It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.
Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!
"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."
|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull)||Comment: In his first session, Rolo focused on further developing his skill 'loose lead walking ' under distractions (training outside). Rolo was initially distracted and struggled to show engagement towards his trainer. With some guidance and the use of 'drop' he slowly began to redirect his focus, Rolo successfully remained engaged with his trainer while a car and person walked past. We suggest continuing to practice this skill at home.||Focus: Distraction||C+|
|Skill learnt: Place Training||Comment: In his second session, Rolo focused on further developing his skill 'send to place ' under high distractions (multiple dogs training within classroom and 6 bowls of food). Rolo initially struggled to ignore the food distractions and showed little engagement with his trainer. With some guidance he quickly began to ignore the food and walk straight past. Next time we would like to see Rolo ignore the distractions on the first repetitions. We suggest continuing to practice this skill at home.||Focus: Distraction||B|
|Skill learnt: Trick Training||Comment: In his final session, Rolo focused on learning the new skill 'around' in a high distracting environment (classroom while multiple dogs are training). We focused on this skill to help build engagement as well as to help with his canine reactivity. Rolo performed very well, he followed a lure around the cone straight away, this lure was quickly faded as the session progressed. We suggest continuing to practice this skill at home.||Focus: Foundation||B|
