Rolo was very over stimulated during today's session and struggled heavily with engagement. Once calmed down and in low distracting environment his focus improved.
Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!
|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull)||Comment: The main goal was to encourage Rolo's engagement during this session. He was eager to get to the classroom but the trainer was not letting him pull her. He really struggled with engagement but responded well to the drop cue to settle and take in the environment. The trainer also included sharp turns to see how focused he was but he was not engaged so struggled with this outside. The rest of the session focused on encouraging his engagement and response to turning (being aware).||Focus: Foundation||C+|
|Skill learnt: Drop/ Down||Comment: During the first session Rolo was reactive towards the cats in the cattery (he could see them through a window). The trainer worked on his drops near this distraction. There was a fine line between getting too close but being too far away so the trainer worked with this to ensure he was making progress. He listened to the command most of the time but when too close needed a reminder||Focus: Distraction||C+|
|Skill learnt: Targeting (touch)||Comment: The trainer further worked on Rolo's understanding of the treat and trains marker 'beep' as well as introduced the target. He did really well with this! You are going to love this at home with him!||Focus: Foundation||B+|
