Rolo was really tested today with some work outside around other dogs. While his place skill and loose lead still need some work we were very impressed with his drop skill around these distractions. Go Rolo!
It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.
Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!

|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Place Training||Comment: For his first session we took Rolo outside to do his place with other dogs as distractions. Considering how distracting the outdoor environment can be he did ok. He kept good focus on the trainer but did break a few times throughout the session. Next time we'd like to see him with better duration on his place so that we can push him with distractions more. At home use place often and focus on keeping him on place for longer periods of time.||Focus: Distraction||C+|
|Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull)||Comment: For his second session we worked on Rolo's loose lead outside with other dogs present. He was a bit distracted but did start to settle down a bit during the session. We also tested with drops which he listened to very well even with the distractions! Very proud of his drop work around the other dogs. Next time we'd like a bit more engagement from Rolo so that we can continue to work on having him walk nicely on the lead. Practice loose lead walking a lot in familiar environments with lots of rewards for engagement (looking at you) and for walking next to you without pulling.||Focus: Distraction||C|
|Skill learnt: Drop/ Down||Comment: For his last session we came into the classroom to work on his drop around other dogs. Rolo is fantastic in drop! He listened well to the command and stayed in drop while the trainer danced around him, walked over him and called him over. He had great focus on the trainer even with the other dogs working in the room. Well done Rolo! Next time we'd like to push his drop a bit further with higher distractions as he is ready to go a little further. Keep up the great work at home with his drops with an emphasis on distractions.||Focus: Distraction||B+|
