Rolo did a good job today but did struggle a bit with his drops when distracted. We did manage to give him a bath which he did really well with!
It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.
Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!

|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull)||Comment: For his first session we worked on loose lead outside with Rolo. He was a little distracted at the start but once the treats started coming he refocused really well. He did quite well on the paved sidewalk but would occasionally lunge towards the grassy area. For the latter half of the session we took him onto the grass - he spent the first few laps constantly sniffing and pulling but then settled really well and gave great engagement to the trainer. He also dropped each time he was asked during the walk which is good as this is a strong skill for him and can help him focus when in new or distracting environments.||Focus: Distraction||B|
|Skill learnt: Drop/ Down||Comment: For his second session we worked on red light/green light drops with other dogs in the classroom as distractions. Rolo really struggled to listen to his drop command and would often be more focused looking at the dogs in the crates or sniffing the floor where other dogs had been. While he was quite good at letting go of the toy when asked to drop he would either become too distracted to drop or would take a while to drop. Halfway through the session he started losing interest in the tug toy completely so we spent the last part of the session practising drops in the classroom around other dogs.||Focus: Distraction||C|
|Skill learnt: Conditioning||Comment: For his last session we spent the time giving Rolo a thorough bath. With 2 trainers we focused on lots of conditioning and rewarding Rolo for being still in the bath (he did still try and jump out a bit at the start but settled well). He is now shiny and smelling beautiful! Hopefully it keeps until he get picked up in a few days!||Focus: Conditioning||X|
