|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Drop/ Down||Comment: In his first session, Roddy focused on further developing his skill down while inside the classroom and progressing outside. Roddy performed well with his down, he listens to the verbal cue and hand signal. As he was progressing well the trainer challenged him further with completing down outside. He was initially distracted but once the trainer used his ball as a reward he began to perform well and ignore all other distractions.||Focus: Distraction||B+|
|Skill learnt: Muzzle Conditioning||Comment: In his second session, Roddy focused on learning the new skill muzzle within the classroom. We focused on this skill to build his confidence around the muzzle and as a safety aspect to his reactivity. Roddy performed well, he was initially hesitant to interact with the muzzle. However, with some guidance and yummy treats, he began to place his nose inside. As the session progressed he began to build his confidence and place his nose inside the muzzle consecutively. This would be a great skill to practice at home to further his conditioning.||Focus: Foundation||C+|
|Skill learnt: Targeting (touch)||Comment: In his final session, Roddy focused on further developing his skill touch with a spooky twist, while conditioning to other dogs in the classroom. Because it is Halloween, we completed touch with a fake bone. Roddy was initially hesitant to touch the bone, however with some treats he quickly began to slightly touch it with his nose. He completed several successful repetitions within the session.||Focus: Foundation||C|
