It was great to see Roddy today. He is such a happy boy who is progressing well with all of his skills, keep practicing his drop while in different positions.
It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.
Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!
"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."
|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Drop/ Down||Comment: In his first session, Roddy focused on further developing his skill drop while the trainer was in different positions (sitting, standing, patting him, etc). We focused on this skill to continue proofing his drop and generalizing the handlers body position. Roddy initially struggled and did not respond to the verbal cue down. As the session progressed, he began to perform well but required patients and luring.||Focus: Obedience||C+|
|Skill learnt: Place Training||Comment: In his second session, Roddy focused on further developing his skill place within the classroom environment (three visible dogs in crates). We focused on this skill to build his impulse control surrounding dogs. Roddy performed well, he responds well to the verbal cue place when pointing at the bed. The trainer challenged him with human movement as a distraction. Roddy initially broke place once but with some guidance quickly began to maintain it well.||Focus: Distraction||B+|
|Skill learnt: Targeting (touch)||Comment: In his final session, Roddy focused on learning the new skill touch within the classroom. We focused on this skill to hopeful use to keep his brain busy while around other dogs and to condition his reward marker yes as he was taking treats. Roddy was initially hesitant to touch the target stick, however as the session progressed, he slowly began to move closer and evenly touch the stick.||Focus: Foundation||C+|
