|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull)||Comment: For Robbie's first session the trainer worked on his loose lead skill. Robbie was pulling quite a bit at first. The trainer kept changing direction and using the yes marker when he was beside the trainer. As the session progressed Robbie settled and stopped pulling. During this session the trainer introduced Robbie to the clamshell full of water. He was very hesitant to start with but was lured into it and by the end was happy to put all four paws in. Well done Robbie.||Focus: Repetition||B|
|Skill learnt: Drop/ Down||Comment: Because Robbie had a new trainer, the focus was on the basics. So second session was drop. Robbie clearly has a good grasp of this skill and was very happy to drop. He did break position a couple of times around other dogs and people but generally he did extremely well. Next time the trainer would like to see him hold position longer despite the distractions.||Focus: Distraction||B+|
|Skill learnt: Place Training||Comment: Robbie's final session was place training. Again he has a very good grasp of this school, as such the trainer started working on place with different items. During this session Robbie worked on place with a towel and yoga mat. It took a little for Robbie to realise he did have to place there, but by the end of the session he was holding place well. Keep practicing this at home with a towel. Keep the distractions low to start with and slowly build up to the higher level distractions.||Focus: Distraction||B|
