Rex struggled a lot with focus and confidence today. Continuing dayschools would be a great way to build his confidence and get his basic obedience skills at a good level in new environments.
It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.
Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!
"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."
|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Place Training||Comment: For his first session we started off with some place training to help teach Rex his communication markers. Rex worked well on the basics of this skill in the classroom, even with another dog visible and whining. It didn't take long for him to start staying on place with the trainer moving a few steps back and he became more responsive to his "yes" marker and release marker ("break") as the session went on.||Focus: Back to Basics||C+|
|Skill learnt: Conditioning||Comment: For his second session we started with trying to work on some drops. However, Rex lacked a lot of engagement and focus and would not follow a lure into drop. As he was so nervous we spent time conditioning him to the classroom environment as he was constantly distracted by other people and dogs moving around.||Focus: Conditioning||X|
|Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull)||Comment: For his last session we took Rex out to explore the grounds and work a little on loose lead. Again he was highly distracted and had very little focus on the trainer. He did enjoy looking around but would get startled by people and noises.||Focus: Conditioning||X|
We recommend your next step should be…

B: Great Work (80-89%) I mostly understand, Almost neat & complete! Needs practice in some areas. Mild distractions
C: Well Done (70-79%) Some good progress. Needs work, but on my way. Still learning. Low distractions.
D: Beginning (60-69%) My journey is just beginning, I don’t understand just yet. Introduction phase. No distraction.
E: Unable to Progress. Needs major focus, seek further options to assist.
X: Not gradable, the focus was on Enrichment, Socialisation & Engagement.
