|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull)||Comment: Remi was very happy to start his training and walked very nicely towards the classroom. He was very engaged with the trainer so she performed unexpected turns and stops to see how focused he was. He did struggle with this to begin with but didn't take long at all to recover. They ventured into the cattery where Remi was exposed to cats and birds boarding with Hedgegrove. His body language informed the trainer that he was a little nervous so they sat down and conditioned the environment before continuing. Once Remi was comfortable in the environment he absolutely smashed his training and confidently walked past all the distractions. He just needs a bit of time to adjust and take in new environments and distractions. Great work Remi!||Focus: Conditioning||B+|
|Skill learnt: Middle Position||Comment: This session focused on Remi's middle skill. This skill is an important safety skill and should be utilised on a regular basis in different environments. It is a great recall, puts them in a safe position as well as can be conditioned for Remi to use when he is nervous. He had a really good Understanding of this skill but needs more work on duration (remaining in position until released) as well as performing from a distance in a distracting environment. He did really well working on duration in the distracting classroom but struggled with going into the position with distance||Focus: Duration||C+|
|Skill learnt: Place Training||Comment: The trainer worked on Remi's understanding of 'place'. Place is a great skill to utilise at home and in public but a bed is not always available therefore this session focused on Remi performing place on different objects. This included the raised bed, towel, yoga mat and fluffy bed. Remi did really well with being lured onto the new 'place' and with repetition was developing good duration. Occasionally he would break without being released but he did remarkable with this skill. The trainer was soon able to point to the different objects at random and command 'place'. Great job super star!||Focus: Foundation||B+|
