Remi's Doggy Dayschool Report

2023-12-13

It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.

Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!

"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."

Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull) Comment: We started with some loose lead walking outside. The trainer practiced some slow walking, jogging and everything inbetween. Doing this makes sure Remi is remaining focused and keeping the pace consistent with the trainers! She seemed to really enjoy this, we also threw in lots of random movements and directional changes to spice it up! Try this at home and see just how much attention she gives you! Focus: Distraction B+
Skill learnt: Place Training Comment: We had some fun working on Remi’s place and drop skill. Instead of using the usual blue bed for place we mixed it up using a grass covered box. The same rules still apply - all four feet remain on the bed until released. Remi was a bit unsure about getting onto the box so we had to work on this first, giving her a run up and lots of encouragement helped big time! Once she figured it out we had lots of fun doing quick repetitions. Start using different objects as place and see how she goes - remember to set her up for success and guide her for the first few attempts. Focus: Repetition B+
Skill learnt: Trick Training Comment: Lastly Remi had some fun with her “bye-bye” skill. The trainer was able to just wave at her for her to lift up her foot. We focused on have her wave a few times before rewarding her - creating a little frustration so she tries harder. She did really well, waving 2-3 times each repetition. She is getting really good at this, if you haven’t already you could start labelling it as “bye bye” alongside the visual cue of waving. Focus: Repetition B

We recommend your next step should be…
