Reggie did do pretty well today!! Again he was nervous and distracted but by the end of the sessions he did really well, and he gave me a lot of kisses on my lap which was very cute
It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.
Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!
"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."
|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Place Training||Comment: In Reggie’s first session we trained the skill place. At first he didn’t want to get on the object didn’t take long with some lure of food and lead pressure. Once he was on place we would ‘yes’ and reward kept rewarding then releasing him, only leaving him on the object for a short amount of time to start with, he didn’t do to bad but with more practice he will get used to it.||Focus: Repetition||C+|
|Skill learnt: Desensitisation||Comment: In his second session we tried to train drops. But he wasn’t taking food or engaging so we went for a walk instead, and he came out of his shell. Normally taking a nervous dog on a walk helps with desensitising them to new smells and new environments.||Focus: Repetition||C|
|Skill learnt: Targeting (touch)||Comment: Reggies last session we trained touch. Touch is a great skill for confidence and is quite easy. All the dog has to do is touch the object with its nose then reward with ‘yes’ and treat. We did this for half his session then got distracted and wasn’t doing it again. So then we went back to place training and this time he got straight onto it which was great to see.||Focus: Repetition||B+|
