Pretzel had a great day today! He is showing more confidence in the classroom and such a sweet guy!
It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.
Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!
"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."
|We focused on
|Skill learnt: Place Training
|Comment: First session Pretzel worked on his place skill. Pretzel settled quickly in the class environment today even taking some treats from his trainer in the first few minutes and having a play with squeaky toys, this helped build his engagement immensely! Today we focused on repetition and building duration. Pretzel works well with low distractions, keep working on this at home as this will help him settle when he is feeling unsure in new environments.
|Skill learnt: Middle Position
|Comment: Pretzels second session we started teaching him middles. This skill is fantastic for building confidence and can help dogs feel more secure. To teach this skill we used treats to lure him in between the trainers legs, said yes and the rewarded him. The end goal is to have them sit between your legs but today’s focus was building his confidence moving between the trainers legs.
|Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull)
|Comment: Final session we worked on Pretzels loose lead. Today we worked out on the pavement. During this session Pretzel walked nicely keeping the lead slack with minimal pulling ahead. He does lack engagement when out and about as the outside world can be quite distracting for him. Keep working on his leash skills at home in familiar environments.
|Focus: Back to Basics
We recommend your next step should be…
A: Outstanding (90 – 100%) I understand my training, Neat & Complete! Ready to move on to higher difficulty & distraction
B: Great Work (80-89%) I mostly understand, Almost neat & complete! Needs practice in some areas. Mild distractions
C: Well Done (70-79%) Some good progress. Needs work, but on my way. Still learning. Low distractions.
D: Beginning (60-69%) My journey is just beginning, I don’t understand just yet. Introduction phase. No distraction.
E: Unable to Progress. Needs major focus, seek further options to assist.
X: Not gradable, the focus was on Enrichment, Socialisation & Engagement.
