Pretzel's Doggy Dayschool Report

It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.

Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!

"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."

Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull) Comment: For Pretzel’s first session today we worked on building his engagement and practicing some loose lead walking. We worked just outside the classroom, any time he pulled in front the trainer stopped and went the other way, encouraging him to follow along. Practice his walking in low distracting environments first so he can understand what it is you want - from there you can add distractions and change the environment. Focus: Distraction B
Skill learnt: Place Training Comment: This session we worked on some place training in the classroom. Pretzel showed some prior knowledge of this skill but needed a quick refresher. Pretzel wasn’t taking treats this session but we made sure to give him pats and verbal praise when he did something right - remaining on place. He was quite distracted by other dogs so we made sure to redirect his focus back to the trainer using his name and keeping him busy - lots of repetitions on and off place. Focus: Repetition C+
Skill learnt: Obstacle Course (Confidence Building) Comment: This session we spent working on Pretzels confidence, we took him to the confidence course. This has lots of fun obstacles - tyres, wobble bridge, kennel, see-saw etc. Pretzel needed some encouragement but once he made it around the first time, he was zooming around the second and third time! This is a great way to build confidence, you can do this at the park too! If you find a log or large rock, see if you can get Pretzel to go over or on it! Focus: Confidence B+

We recommend your next step should be…
