Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Muzzle Conditioning Comment: In her first session the trainer focused on further conditioning the 'muzzle' while training 'place'. We focused on this skill to slowly begin to increase the time Poppy is wearing the muzzle. Poppy performed very well, she was initially unsettled when the muzzle was on but continued to perform place well. With some guidance she quickly began to ignore the muzzle and continued training. The trainer was very impressed with how well Poppy is progressing with her muzzle. We suggest continuing to practise this skill at home with lots of yummy treats. Focus: Duration B
Skill learnt: Trick Training Comment: In her second session, Poppy focused on further developing her skill 'barrel roll' with repetitions under high distractions. We focused on this skill to help Poppy achieve her trick title. Poppy performed very well, she was initially hesitant to interact with the barrel but quickly regained her confidence. As the session progressed Poppy began to roll the barrel for several meters. Focus: Distance B
Skill learnt: Trick Training Comment: In her final session, Poppy focused on reviewing multiple tricks with her best friend Cookie. We worked on a variety of different skills, including bow, sit pretty, ta-da, paws up and shake. Poppy performed amazingly, she successfully completed all these skills with little luring. Poppy loved this session as she worked with her best friend Cookie, the two girls loved doing their tricks together. Focus: Repetition A
