Poppy did very well today and kept good engagement throughout her sessions, despite the multiple dog distractions.
It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.
Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!
"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."
|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Paws Up (on object)||Comment: Today Poppy revisited her ‘paws up’ skill on individual pods. Poppy did very well today with keeping her engagement strong on the trainer as she performed this skill, and put each paw on each pod without much struggle, which is such a great improvement. In the future we want her to be able to do her paws up with less struggle as it is a great skill to have for her to build her confidence and focus.||Focus: Confidence||B+|
|Skill learnt: Trick Training||Comment: Poppy’s next session focused on her ‘hold’ skill of holding an object in her mouth for 5 seconds. Poppy showed knowledge of holding an object in her mouth, but not for longer than a second, so we worked on her duration. Towards the end of Poppy’s session, she was able to successfully hold the object in her mouth for 2-3 seconds. In the future we want her to be able to reach the 5 second mark as it is a skill needed for her intermediate trick title.||Focus: Duration||B|
|Skill learnt: Trick Training||Comment: Poppy’s last session was focused on her ‘peekaboo’ skill, which will help her with her intermediate trick title. We started off with Poppy following a lure as we helped her learn to walk whilst in the middles position, and she followed it great. We then began to fade the lure and she still performed the skill well. In the future we want to work on Poppy staying in between our legs when turning, not just walking in a straight line.||Focus: Repetition||B+|
