Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Trick Training Comment: In her first session, Poppy focused on further developing her skill walk backwards within the busy classroom. Poppy was initially distracted and required a lure to perform this skill, however as the session progressed the lure faded while she continued to perform well. Focus: Foundation B+
Skill learnt: Trick Training Comment: In her second session, Poppy focused on furthering her walk backwards skill by introducing the Orbit skill. We focused on this skill to continue challenging Poppy with new and difficult skills. Poppy performed well, she quickly followed a small lure to walk backwards when starting next to the trainer. After several repetitions, the trainer began to lure her around and behind them. Poppy initially struggled to turn, but with practice, she quickly began to perform well. Focus: Foundation C+
Skill learnt: Drop/ Down Comment: In her final session, Poppy focused on further developing her skill drop under high distractions (in and around the kennel area). We focused on this skill to proof her drop under high dog distractions. Poppy performed very well, she did initially struggle to respond to the drop command but with some guidance, she quickly began to move straight into position. She held good duration despite multiple dogs barking at her and around her. Focus: Distraction B+

We recommend your next step should be…
