|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull)||Comment: The trainer worked on Poppy's loose lead outside with the carpark distractions (people entering and leaving). Although she was easily distracted, she recovered really well and did a great job refocusing on the trainer. Dog distractions were a little more distracting for her so the trainer focused on encouraging her to remain engaged with those distractions.||Focus: Distraction||B|
|Skill learnt: Trick Training||Comment: To have a bit of fun with Poppy the trainer decided to start chaining some of her skills. This included paws up, hoop and around. To begin with the trainer refreshed her memory with these and usually she performed 'around' from place but was required to do it from 'paws up'. The trainer went back to basics and lured her around the cone and back to 'paws up'. She struggled to begin with but eventually got the hang of it.||Focus: Back to Basics||B+|
|Skill learnt: Trick Training||Comment: The final session continued with chaining the 3 skills. They did a few minutes of going through the hoop from 'paws up' and eventually the trainer added the cone. It required some luring but eventually she was starting from 'paws up', going through the hoop, around the cone, back through the hoop to 'paws up' again. Poppy was exhausted by the end of this session from working out her little brain.||Focus: Repetition||B+|
