|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull)||Comment: In her first session, Poppy focused on further developing her skill 'loose lead' walking under distractions (in and around the kennel dogs). We focused on this skill to build her engagement and build her impulse control around dogs. Poppy performed very well, she initially barked once at the first dog who barked at her. However, utilising the skills 'spin' and 'drop' she quickly redirected her focus and perform amazingly. She successfully walked outside past a row of kennel dogs, showing no signs of reactivity (see Instagram story).||Focus: Distraction||B+|
|Skill learnt: Trick Training||Comment: In her second session, Poppy focused on further developing her skill 'hold' with duration. We focused on this skill to challenge her problem-solving skills and build her duration. The trainer used a slightly different approach to teaching this skill today, when Poppy opened her mouth on the pipe the trainer marked with 'right-o'. This was to signify she can drop the pipe. Using this method Poppy performed very well, she has begun to build duration and successfully held the pipe for 2 seconds.||Focus: Duration||B|
|Skill learnt: Trick Training||Comment: In her final session, Poppy focused on learning the new skill 'soccer' within the classroom. We focused on this skill to begin working on Poppy's intermediate trick title. Poppy performed very well, she quickly began to interact with the ball touching it with her nose and paw. As the session progressed she quickly began to only push the ball with her nose. The trainer was very impressed with his Poppy throughout this session.||Focus: Foundation||B|
