Poppy performed well today, she was a little off this morning but as the day progressed she became more like herself. She is progressing well with all of her skills, keep up the great work at home.
It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.
Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!
"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."
|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Drop/ Down||Comment: In her first session, Poppy focused on further developing her skill 'drop' with a focus on going back to basics. We focused on this skill to ensure she has a good understanding of the skill and to help reduce her vocalisation. Poppy performed well, she responds well to the verbal cue 'drop' and has good duration. Poppy did struggle when the trainer uses a high-pitched voice and was excited, she broke drop twice. With some guidance she quickly began to remain in drop. Next time we would like to see Poppy not break drop despite distractions. We suggest continuing to practice this skill at home.||Focus: Back to Basics||B+|
|Skill learnt: Place Training||Comment: In her second session, Poppy focused on further developing her skill 'send to place' with repetitions under distractions (training outside with another dog in close proximity). We focused on this to this to ensure she has a good understanding of the skill. Poppy performed very well, the trainer was able to send her to place from several meters away. As she was performing so well the trainer challenged her with sending to place while her trainer was in different positions (sitting, kneeling, lying down, etc). Poppy did not miss a beat, she continued to go straight to place despite what the trainer was doing.||Focus: Obedience||A|
|Skill learnt: Trick Training||Comment: In her final session, Poppy focused on further developing her skill 'sit pretty' with repetitions. We focused on this to strengthen her back legs and to have some fun for her final session. Poppy performed very well, she followed a lure into the correct position, this lure was quickly faded to a hand signal above her head. When performing this skill she can struggle to hold duration, with lots of treats she will stay in this skill for several seconds. Next time we would like to continue to fade the lure and build her duration. We suggest continuing to practice this skill at home.||Focus: Foundation||B|
