|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Conditioning||Comment: (HEEL) Since we know she has a great loose lead the trainer worked a bit more on her “heel”. As asked she was worked around Leena in the classroom for this session and Poppy had such great focus it wasn’t an issue for her at all! The trainer was extremely impressed with how her heel os coming along, she needs a bit more work on focusing on the trainer as she moves but she is keeping inside “the box” right next to the trainer which was great!||Focus: Back to Basics||C+|
|Skill learnt: Trick Training||Comment: (SIT PRETTY) For her second session today the trainer worked in the classroom close to Leena again as a distraction. They worked on Poppy’s sit pretty with a focus on duration. He posture in this skill is amazing being able to hold it longer than most dogs, she really impressed the trainer when she was doing the skill with nothing but the verbal and hand gesture and waiting for her release of “righto” before breaking off for the reward! She basically didn’t even notice Leena during this session as she was so focused on doing her skills!||Focus: Duration||B|
|Skill learnt: Obstacle Course (Confidence Building)||Comment: For her final session today the trainer took poppy out to the confidence course to see if she could beat the current champion on how fast she can go around! The trainer took her few a couple of times, since she knows the course she is super speedy with it and that’s why the trainer wanted to time her! Her quickest time today was 11.2 seconds around the course which is only 0.6 seconds behind the current leader at 10.6 seconds! They tried a few more times but this was her best time today, she gets caught up a little bit in the little house searching for treats so next time the trainer is going to try get her to go even quicker but really enticing her through the house without stopping! To finish off this great session the trainer then did some loose lead walking around the kennels and other dogs, she needed a few reminders but had great recovery and was walking really nicely with the trainer for the last few minutes in her session.||Focus: Duration||B+|
