|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Drop/ Down||Comment: For her first session we worked on her drops with another high energy dog in the classroom. Poppy did super well and was very engaged with the trainer. She would glance at the other dog but immediately look back to the trainer. When close to a dog she struggled to get into position but if she was already in a drop and another dog approached she was fine. To further improve this, it could be done outside with similar dog distractions.||Focus: Distraction||B+|
|Skill learnt: Conditioning||Comment: Using Poppy’s great drop skills I was able to put her in position and practice wrapping her leg in a bandage. We worked on this so that if something bad is to happen they should be conditioned already to having their legs touched and wrapped up. She waited patiently while her leg was wrapped up in a mock bandage and didn’t show any signs of being uncomfortable. There was two other dogs in the classroom and she would glance at them but immediately look back to the trainer. She did very well with her mock bandage application!||Focus: Conditioning||B+|
|Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull)||Comment: For her last session we worked on her loose lead skills outside with people and dog distractions. She was very engaged throughout the entire session, however when we were working close to other dogs she took longer to turn and look back at the trainer. We also worked on her drops with people distractions, she struggled a little bit with this and broke a couple times for cuddles but quickly corrected herself. Overall she did very well with this and all her sessions today!||Focus: Distraction||B+|
