Today Poppy performed fairly well, but she got distracted at least once during each of her training sessions by other dogs.
It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.
Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!
"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."
|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull)||Comment: Today Poppy started off with her ‘loose lead’ skill with dog distractions inside the classroom. She did well and was very engaged throughout her session. She only got distracted once when another trainer entered the classroom, but then refocused for the rest of her session. We want to continue progressing with Poppy’s loose lead so she is able to keep 100% engagement, no matter what the distraction.||Focus: Distraction||B+|
|Skill learnt: Paws Up (on object)||Comment: Poppy’s next session was focused on her ‘paws up’ skill. Poppy performed this skill with her paws on two individual pods. She did relatively well and is starting to get the hang of it. There were times she got frustrated and would instead drag the pods backwards, but once refocused, she successfully performed the skill a handful of times. In the future we want Poppy to be able to do this skill whenever she is commanded and with ease.||Focus: Confidence||C+|
|Skill learnt: Trick Training||Comment: Lastly Poppy revisited her ‘around’ skill. She started off with a lure and did very well, and during her session she progressed to performing the skill with just the command and a point, no lure. Poppy was very engaged for the first half, and with that the cone was placed further away, but lost focus once more dogs were in the classroom. We would like for Poppy to progress with this skill, so she is able to overcome the distractions as it is a very good skill for her reactivity.||Focus: Distraction||B|
