Poppy's Doggy Dayschool Report

It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.

Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!

"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."

Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Trick Training Comment: Poppy's first session worked on wagon pull! It took her some time to get focused on the task as she was distracted by the classroom dogs and people. Once she was focused on the task we worked on the distance she pulled the wagon. She was only rewarded when she actively lifted up the pulley and pulled it. She tries to be cheeky with this skill by either lifting it and dropping it or lifting it and throwing it to the side. She progressed well with this today! Focus: Repetition B+
Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull) Comment: We worked on Poppy's loose lead on the oval next door with dog distractions. Poppy tok some time to engage with her trainer and would often try to walk off but after more guidance her focus was redirected. We were able to walk alongside and past a small and large dog without her reacting (even with the larger dog reacting towards her!). Well done Poppy! Focus: Distraction A
Skill learnt: Place Training Comment: For Poppy's last session we started with sending to place with distance and distraction. The distraction being people having lunch on the couch. She was allowed to appraoch and say hi until the trainer commanded her to place. Poppy did exceptionally well at this skill! No matter where the bed was she returned to it. Hopefully this will help with redirecting her humpity time. Focus: Distance A
