Poppy's Doggy Dayschool Report

2021-08-03

It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.

Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!

"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."

Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Drop/ Down Comment: For Poppy’s first session today we worked in the classroom with lots of distracting things. To really push her drop skill the trainer got her very excited and then straight into a drop. She did so well with this, although sometimes a bit slow to get into position. We also used a skateboard and lots of tennis balls to try and brake her position but she wasn’t fooled. Focus: Distraction B
Skill learnt: Paws Up (on object) Comment: For Poppy’s second session today we did something very energy demanding. This was paws up with three seperate steps. We alternated between the three and did drops as well. Keeping it random. She did so well with the verbal cue and she looked pretty tired by the end of it. Focus: Repetition B+
Skill learnt: Crate Training Comment: To end Poppy’s training today we did some loose lead walking in the cattery and outside in the car park. She struggled a bit with engagement at the start. The interesting smells in the cattery really distracted her but she would still drop when told, although continue sniffing whatever it was. New smells are a big thing for her, so to improve her loose lead, these distractions should be built up slowly. Focus: Distraction C+

We recommend your next step should be…
