|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull)||Comment: Session one with Poppy we practiced her loose lead skills with drops around trainer Jess as a distraction. Poppy had very little engagement with the trainer when ever Jess was in sight. By increasing the rewards poppy did improve in her engagement although it still isn’t 100%. Another distraction was Jess was training another dog which poppy was weary of, Poppy only was reactive towards the other dog once. To help this the trainer increased the treats around Jess and the other dog which helped majorly!||Focus: Distraction||C|
|Skill learnt: Spin||Comment: Session two with Poppy we practiced her skill of spin outside with the distraction of trainer Jess. Poppy did way better this session! Poppy preformed spin every time she was asked with confidence! She had way better engagement through the whole session which was great to see. Towards the end of the session Poppy was a little exhausted and wasn’t preforming spins. So for the remainder of the session the trainer practiced drops and loose lead around trainer Jess instead.||Focus: Distraction||B+|
|Skill learnt: Trick Training||Comment: For session three with Poppy we practiced her skill of “Paw at eyes”. The trainer used a party hat on poppy to provoke her to paw at her face. Poppy did amazing with this and pawed it off her face every time. She was rewarded for this with treats. The next step For this skill is to Try put the hat on not so far on her face and Jack pot her is she does the skill!||Focus: Repetition||A|
