Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Trick Training Comment: We started our day revisiting pickles orbit skill. We focused on phasing out luring him with a treat, using a hand signal and the verbal "orbit". Pickle found it challenging at first, needing the treat in our hand the whole way around but after a bit of repetition, Pickle started to follow just our hand around, not needing the treat until completing the full circle Focus: Repetition B
Skill learnt: Trick Training Comment: Pickle worked on his selfie skill, focusing on Duration while on our shoulders. Pickle was happy to jump up into position, although wanting to jump off straight away as well as trying to climb over his trainer to get the treat. After a bit of repetition, Pickle started to wait his release word before hopping off. Focus: Repetition C+
Skill learnt: Trick Training Comment: Pickle did some more work on his skateboard skill, focusing on his distance. We also looked at phasing out the lure, using just the verbal and hand signal to get Pickle to start riding the skateboard. As we worked, Pickle went from going a few meters at a time to increasing his distance to around 10 meters consistently. Focus: Distance B
