Phoenix really struggled around Chema but as the day progressed she was able to engage more with the trainer as she worked nearby Chema.
It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.
Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!
"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."
|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull)||Comment: For her first session we took both Phoenix and Chema outside to work on their loose lead together. While Chema was unfazed by Phoenix, Phoenix struggled a lot to stay focused on the trainer with Chema in sight (even at a distance). She would do some of her drops but would get easily distracted. Continuing to work on her basics skills and engagement around Chema will help when she moves into a distracting environment such as outside.||Focus: Distraction||C+|
|Skill learnt: Drop/ Down||Comment: For her second session we started off with drop duration while Chema was sent to and from place. Phoenix was a bit more focused but seemed to struggle a bit at holding a stationary position while Chena moved around. For the latter half of the session we changed her into doing loose lead while he continued with place. She was much better with this and gave good engagement most of the time though would still get distracted when walking close to Chema. Continuing to condition and expose her to Chema will help improve her focus on the trainer.||Focus: Distraction||B|
|Skill learnt: Place Training||Comment: For her last session we worked on sending Phoenix to and from place near Chema. Phoenix really enjoyed doing this skill and was very energetic moving to and from the bed. The only time she was distracted was when as soon as she was released from place she would angle towards Chema but redirected back to the trainer easily. She stayed on place with the trainer moving and running around which was great! Keep up the great work with Phoenix at home.||Focus: Distance||B+|
