|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Conditioning||Comment: Pepper’s first session was a confidence walk around the property experiencing different sounds, people, animals and things underfoot. Pepper was awesome. Happily watched the work that was going on and was very interested in the alpacas. Keep exposing Pepper to all the different things in the world. Anything she is not sure of use the yes marker and treats to help condition her to it.||Focus: Confidence||A|
|Skill learnt: Place Training||Comment: Second session for Pepper was place. She was very happy to jump right on the place bed which was fantastic. She was also just as excited to jump off to follow the trainer! Pepper progressed well though and was keeping good duration on the bed. Towards the end of the session the trainer was able to squat at a distance and Pepper held place! Keep practicing at home and increase the distance you can walk away from the bed.||Focus: Repetition||B|
|Skill learnt: Drop/ Down||Comment: Final session for Pepper was drops and sit. Also a bit of noise conditioning with the heavy rain on the shed. It was very loud. Pepper is still only dropping under the trainer’s leg. But she is getting much better at it and not as hesitant as she once was. The trainer also worked on sit with Pepper. Pepper is great with her sits but she now needs to hold that sit for longer before she is released. Keep practicing at home by using treats to help her hold position.||Focus: Duration||C+|
