|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Conditioning||Comment: For Pepper’s first session the trainer introduced her to the classroom and her yes marker. The yes marker is a word used to tell Pepper she has done something right. First of all she needs to learn that yes means a treat. To do that we say yes and give Pepper a treat. As the marker gets charged Pepper will soon learn yes means a treat. Pepper did well in the classroom and is very food motivated which is great.||Focus: Conditioning||X|
|Skill learnt: Place Training||Comment: Place was the focus of Pepper’s second session. This is a skill that will develop into a place for Pepper to have chill and is great for when people come over to help with over excitement. As this was the first session of this it was luring Pepper on with food. Rewarding with yes and a treat. And the Break to come off the bed. She did a great job.||Focus: Repetition||C|
|Skill learnt: Play||Comment: Final session was a play session. This helps with engagement and conditioning to new environments. Pepper had fun playing with some cardboard and a ball. She also learnt that the toys were boring unless the trainer made them move. This is a good thing as it means the handler has the value not the toy. Pepper also went through the confidence course and did a great job. Keep an eye on Facebook for videos.||Focus: Repetition||X|
|Skill learnt: Exposure||Comment: Canine connect is holding a puppy class next Wednesday. Head to our Facebook page and scroll down to find the event. It will be great to have you there to help expose Pepper to new things as well as teaching you the terminology we use to help you train your puppy. We would love to see you there.||Focus: Conditioning||X|
